SESD General Privacy Information

Your privacy is a serious matter to us. When we ask you for information, we strictly limit its use to servicing your account. We do not rent or sell any personal information that we obtain from our customers. Having accurate records helps us to provide quick and efficient customer service.

Collection of Information

When applying for electric service or another company service, SESD will ask you for basic customer information, such as your name, address, phone number, and place of employment. We will also collect some form of more personally identifiable information, such as your Social Security number and/or Driver's License number as a security measure against others accessing your account. We will also collect information regarding o ur interactions and transactions over the course of our business relationship with you.

When you utilize our online forms, any personal information you enter in fields or forms provided in these services are secured using an industry standard security technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). By using SSL, we attempt to safeguard the confidentiality of your user name, password and other personal information.

Protection of Information

Keeping your personal and financial related information private is vitally important to us. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. Customer information is both secured from outside access through secure firewall technology as well as internally through customized employee access security profiles. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you.
